Dialogues explores hybrid spaces of exchange through art interventions that merge physical and virtual realities in evolving configurations. The project promotes
notions of connectivity and interaction that blur distinctions between private and public
space.
The first iteration of Dialogues, held in July 2022 and curated by Elisavet Kalpaxi with the support of Konstantinos Panapakidis, initiated a conversation between eight artists. Participants exchanged artworks and installed them in their personal spaces for a period of ten days. Alongside the virtual exhibition, the
project included a series of discussions designated to
foster further exchange, reflections, and collaboration. One outcome of these conversations, was the invitation of more artists to create their own rounds of dialogues. To support this expansion, we developed an instructional booklet, our ‘formula’, outlining all the processes and methodology behind the project. Dialogues was envisioned as an annual initiative, with new rounds taking place each July, and connected through a shared opening event. Since 2022, however, the formula has evolved into an open structure through appropriation, reinterpretation, and unexpected forms of participation. ︎︎︎
